And so our story begins...

In a nearby dimension, the battle between good and evil rages on with all of Existence teetering in the balance. Dimension 49632 is the home of 11 special dragons which, when together, are the key to opening the 'gate of all gates.' The gate that gives access to ALL dimensions, the Vertex...Hyperion Elderman is the last guardian of these dragons. He and his two children were all that remained of his people. Their dimension was crumbling around them due to the never-ending onslaught of the evil entity Parallax, who, in his boredom, loves nothing more than to create chaos, death, and destruction. This small dimension was not enough for him and he wanted more, he wanted access to ALL the dimensions, and to get that he needed control of the Vertex… but Hyperion stood in his way. As an act of revenge, Parallax killed Hyperion's two children sending their souls into the afterlife. In a final act of desperation, Hyperion gathered up the 11 dragons in order to open up the gateway to dimension 49633 also known as ‘Earth.’ Entering the Vertex allows the traveler to see all dimensions at once. This is where Hyperion saw his children one last time... in the afterlife. "I couldn't protect you in life, so I shall bestow upon you this dragon so that he may watch over you in the afterlife...", he says tearfully and gave them one of the dragons to protect them, since he could not. In the process of crossing this dimension, his youth was sacrificed. Therefore, when he continued onto Earth’s dimensional gate, he arrives as an old man, and to his surprise, the 12 dragons that he once possessed were now 12 tiny kittens. His plan was simple... separate the dragons/kittens from each other to close the gate. For he knew that if the Kats were ever to be in proximity of each other again, Parallax could enter the Vertex, and all would be doomed...

Dim and Bonita Bones, Fifi (Kat), and Rex (Dragon)

Bonita and Dim Bones were from the same dimension as Hyperion, in fact, they were Hyperion’s children before they were killed by Parallax. Once they were cast into the dimension of the dead, they lost all memory of their real identities and had to take on new names. H.E. was supposed to protect them, but parallax killed them as revenge for not allowing him access to the vertex, the gateway leading to all the other dimensions unlocked by the 11 dragons. In order, to protect the multi-dimensions, Hyperion took ten of the kats and split them up on Earth amongst the child guardians but left the final key with Bonita and Dim Bones in the dimension of the dead to keep them from ever being in the same location and reopening the vertex. Because once the gate is open, parallax could slip through and destroy all. Hyperion felt so guilty for losing his two children that he gave them everlasting life in the dimension of the dead and made them the guardians of Fifi the kat and Rex the dragon, the last key(s) to keeping the universe safe.

Kiara, Jasmine (Kat), and Drake (Dragon)

Kiara is a beautiful young girl who likes to play chess as a hobby and watch chess tournaments as her pastime. As a September 15th Virgo, she is very popular amongst her peers and loves to make new friends, she is one of the most popular kids in school. However, she doesn’t let her social status get in the way of her studies as her goal is to get into an excellent college and make her parents proud. One day after school, upon finishing her studies at a nearby library. She walked to a nearby bus stop to wait for the bus to take her home. She was approached by a kind-looking old man carrying a tiny kitten. Little did she know the old man was Hyperion Eldermen also known as H.E…Hyperion asked Kiara to take the kitten home, but she knew her mother would not approve. H.E. used his mind-controlling powers on Kiara’s mom to coerce her into keeping the kitten. Kiara took the tiny ball of fur and named her Jasmine. The only catch is that if Jasmine were to go outside and touch her paws any soil, she will turn into the Earth Dragon. ‘Drake.’

Connor, Fergus (Kat), and Una (Dragon)

Connor likes to ride his bike and play video games. His mother is an excellent cook and the food his mother makes is so good, that it has inspired him to become the world’s most famous chef and make his mother’s recipes to share with the world. Connor is also the quintessential March 24th, a Pisces. One day, Connor wondered where the little kitten came from, but it looked so lonely and cute, he decided to take the kitten in. Connor named it Fergus and Connor found out, much to his surprise, that if Fergus were to be put in water or any other liquids, the kitten would turn into a water dragon name Una.

Jade, Mochi (Kat), and Sumoki (Dragon)

Jade is a kind-hearted and generous soul who is very passionate about dancing. Every day after school, she goes to a hip-hop dance class to hone her skills. One evening, she went to perform a dance recital at a retirement home. Among the elderly residents there sat a familiar figure, Hyperion Elderman. After she finished, Hyperion approaches Jade and offered her a kitten as a token of appreciation for her performance without hesitation, she accepted the gift although she found it to be a little strange. Jade took the kitten home and named her Mochi. One cold quiet night while everyone was asleep, much to her surprise, Jade found out that if Mochi were to be near any really hot objects, the kitten would turn into the fire dragon, ‘Sumoki.’

Jimmy, Macy (Kat), and Marley (Dragon)

Jimmy likes anything electronic, such as gadgets and RC cars especially. He is a geek for Dungeons and Dragons and other fantasy games. Jimmy is also very much into sci-fi movies and tv shows. He desperately loves stories about superheroes and if he could become one, he would... Jimmy went looking for local yard sales to see if he could find any deals on RV cars and D&D figurines to add in his collection. He saw an old man at one yard sale holding a box that had “free kittens” written on it. Jimmy met Hyperion and after some coaxing offered to take one. Jimmy was initially unsure about taking a kitten because his parents aren’t keen on having any pets, Hyperion uses his mind control powers on Jimmy’s parents and eventually they agree. Jimmy names the kitten Macy. Jimmy found out that if Macy were to play around any electric wires, the kitten will turn into a lightning dragon named Marley.

Izzy, Chloe (Kat), and Echo (Dragon)

Izzy loves anything mechanical and is very interested in science and physics. She is also completely fascinated by airplanes and what makes them fly. So much so that she wants to go into the air force. Izzy is a June 4th Gemini, and she loves to play hockey. One day, after arriving home from the travel meet, she went to with her hockey team, she was waiting in the lobby area for her ride, and she found a kitten rubbing longingly on her leg. She wondered if the kitten belonged to anyone, but no one seemed to be around. Little did she know, Hyperion was sitting a few seats away, watching everything from behind a newspaper and using his mind controlling powers to put it into Izzy’s head to take the cat home with her. Next thing you know, the kitten went into her hockey gear bag. She named the kitten Chloe and if Chloe were to be near anything really cold, the kitten would turn into a Ice dragon named ‘Echo.’

Mateo, Puppet (Kat), and Bruno (Dragon)

Mateo is a sweet and genuine boy with lots of friends. He likes to play lacrosse as a hobby. Sometimes, he thinks he’s an outcast in the group, but a lot of the girls from his school says otherwise and think he’s handsome. Mateo’s birthday is April 16th. One day, Mateo was volunteering to take care of some sick people at a local hospital. On his lunch break, he saw a stray kitten walking around outside on the hospital center grounds. He thought that maybe the kitten was an emotional support animal from the hospital, but he didn’t see a harness or vest on it. There was an old man sitting on a bench and Mateo asked if the kitten was his. The old man said, “Kats find their owners…” Mateo picked up the kitten and when he turned to speak to the old man again, mysteriously, he was gone…Mateo took the little kitten in and named him Puppet, but if Puppet were to go out beyond a certain radius of his new home, the kitten would turn into a teleportation dragon named Bruno.

Tia, Sheila C. (Kat), and Prince (Dragon)

Tia is a multitalented musician who wants to become a professional music producer. She likes to play the violin, the piano, and drums and likes to dabble in electronic music. Tia’s birthday is August the 8th, and she’s a Leo. She loves to go to the pier every Friday afternoon and play her music on the weekends. One day, Tia was playing her music when and old man came up to her while she was playing and put a tiny kitten in her tip box and scurried away… Hyperion Eldermen strikes again! She took the kitten home with her and named it Sheila C. But little did she know that if the kitten were to hear any loud noises, it would turn into the sound dragon. ‘Prince’.

Jae, Yuni (Kat), and Tatsu (Dragon)

Jae likes to skateboard, watch anime and to play in his garden. Jae’s parents are very strict and are against him to doing anything that involves the arts, but all he wants to do is to become a famous singer. Jae’s birthday is May 3rd and he’s a Taurus. One afternoon while he was helping his parents in the garden, he had to take out the trash. He saw a stray kitten feeding on a fish bone. Jae kept the kitten and named it Yuni but if Yuni were to be awake when the clocks strike midnight, it will turn into a dragon with the power of time manipulation named Tatsu.

Lyra, Shadow (Kat), and Angus (Dragon)

Lyra is a spectacular artist. Everyone thinks she has wonderful taste in painting landscapes and portraits. Lyra is a January baby, the 26th, to be exact. She likes camping and being out in the wilderness, but most of all she likes going to the park and drawing portraits of passersby. One day, as she was in the park setting up to do her portraits, she stumbled across Hyperion Eldermen, who asked her to draw his portrait. While he was sitting there. H.E. told Lyra a story about how he lost his dear kitty and asked if she asked if she had seen it. Once she finished, Hyperion thanked Lyra for the portrait and walked away. Once, H.E. was out of sight, Lyra saw the kitten he was looking for poke her tiny head out of the brushes behind her. Around the kitten’s neck there was a note which read: My name is Shadow, and I now belong to you, Lyra…but if I to go near any metal objects, I will turn into Telekinesis Dragon named ‘Angus.’

Kevin, Bear (Kat), and Lucky (Dragon)

Kevin is your typical mellow football player and surfer dude. Kevin is also fond of reading and wants to grow up to be a teacher and a writer. Kevin is a Fourth of July baby and loves everything about the holiday. One night, Kevin had a late football practice, and he was feeling hungry. He went to a nearby food truck to get something to eat. While he was munching away, he saw a hungry little kitten walking around the sidewalk. When the kitten saw that Kevin had food. It gave him the biggest saddest eyes it could muster up; Kevin couldn’t help but give the kitten a bite to eat. The food truck driver, Hyperion Elderman, convinced Kevin that the little furball should go home with him. Kevin took him in named him Bear. Kevin found out that Bear loves to have his fur blown on, but to Kevin’s amazement, if it’s blown in the wrong direction, he becomes a wind dragon named Lucky.
